      2. General Liability: current policy with American Family expires in May 2017 with premium ($233) payable by NIEBNA; CPED/NCR offers equivalent coverage, but at a higher premium. [Board Action: continue with American Family for general liability coverage.]
    3. Other Business
      1. Status Report: Schedule for the CPP  application for 2017-2019 period — application submission in January after approval by the Board.
      2. Status Report: Steps in the closure CPP contract of 2014-2016 period.
        1. Preparation of Final Annual Report — due April 30, 2017
        2. Rollover funds to be used for CPP objectives
      3. Status Report — NRP Phase 2 Application: approved by NRP Policy Board in October; will be on City Council Agenda for approval (a formality) by the end of 2016; funds available starting in January/February 2017
      4. Explanation: during the NRP Phase 2 application process we discovered approx $6200 that apparently was allocated on NCR books to NIEBNA for police activities but that was never spent. It turns out that the funds were from 2002/2003 City budget cycle and were spent long ago (e.g. the money was a mirage).
      5. December Meeting: as is our usual practice, the December meeting will not he held unless there is pressing business than cannot be delayed until January.

    1. Geno’s — a new restaurant in the neighborhood (Josh Mathews) — The Tap Houses, a local restaurant group [website here], plans to open a new Italian-themed restaurant in the former Subway space on 4th St SE. [Board Action: support/oppose Class E-Liquor License]
    2. Hennepin/First Avenue Transportation Study presentation and discussion (Nathan Koster, City of Minneapolis Public Works) [Website for the Study is here.] [Board Action: adopt a preferred alternative among the design alternatives considered  in the Study.]
    3. Council Member report (CM Jacob Frey)
  4. NIEBNA Projects and Status Reports

    1. Status Report: Appointment of a new Downtown Neighborhoods Alternate Director on Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership (MRP) Board of Directors — delayed until December or January
    2. Status Report: Application by the Friends of the Mississippi River (FMR) for a planning grant from the Stewardship Fund of  the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) — approved by the MWMO Board and contract has been executed; NEIBNA supported the application and will cooperate with FMR is developing the natural resources implementation plan covering the Not-a-Lot area.
    3. Stem Wine Bar C-2 Liquor License – expansion of Stem license to include live music performance within the establishment premises  [Board Action: support/oppose]
    4. Police matters update
      1. Speed & noise monitoring and enforcement by MPD  (Jeffrey Meehan)
      2. 2nd Precinct Police Staffing going forward (Kevin Upton) [Board Action: adopt petition (text here) regarding future staffing levels in the 2nd Precinct.]
