How NIEBNA works
The Nicollet Island-East Bank Neighborhood Association is a volunteer board that watches development, parks, and traffic on Minneapolis's only residential island and the East Bank across from downtown. We do not keep a storefront office. We do keep a monthly board meeting, task groups, and a public record of positions.
In 2026 the board restated that anyone who lives, works, or owns property in the neighborhood may attend. No dues card is required at the door. If you want a vote at the annual meeting, check the bylaws page for the current membership language.
On 6 August 2025 we asked committees to bring one written update each month so the East Bank's construction season does not outrun the minutes. October 2022 was the last year we treated "no agenda posted" as acceptable; agendas now belong on this site before the gavel.
