DeLaSalle “Island Cleanup” Event – April 18

Residents of the Nicollet Island-East Bank Neighborhood, especially those who live on Nicollet Island, are invited to join the DeLaSalle school community in their Island Cleanup event on Saturday, April 18 from 1:00-3:00pm.

Volunteers will meet at DeLaSalle, then go out in groups to clean up Nicollet Island. DeLaSalle encourages volunteers to bring a rake and gloves, if they have them. The work will include raking, picking up garbage, and other cleanup efforts.

While volunteers are free to show up on the day of the cleanup, DeLaSalle encourages those who are interested to sign up in advance to give them a sense of how many will participate. To sign up, volunteers may go here, enter their email address and phone number, and sign up. VolunteerSpot will not share your information; you do not need to create an account to sign up.

The DeLaSalle Parent Association will host a free barbecue after the cleanup and we invite cleanup volunteers to join us.

Anyone with questions may contact Nicholas Grue [nicholas.grue@delasalle.com] at 612.676.7603. DeLaSalle also encourages NIEBNA members to learn more about their sustainability and green initiatives here.
